Breakdown On The Hours:

*Paraphrasing Mrs. Faris*

When it comes down to hours, over a period of 2 or 3 years the requirement isn't too bad. When you have only 2 hours completed at the start of the senior year, that is when it becomes difficult.

Here is how Mrs. Faris broke out the hours to show how little it really is.

*Note that school and sports are capped at 4 hours per year.

If you think about it, the 16.5 hours could be split over the year, and summer. All it would take over the summer to get the hours is just a couple days worth of time.

Why there are capped items. *Paraphrasing Mr. Crabtree*

What is the rationale for hour caps? This comes from watching previous advisors try to get NHS members available for community events. The caps enable us to go out a help a variety of groups and guarantee our presence in the community. Not just at a singular place. After all, many of these events depend on us to help them. While it can be frustrating, but what it does is help the community.

You should constantly check the hours spreadsheet to see where you are. If you have any questions about you can ask any of the advisors or officers.

If you are turning in any hours.be sure that you are using the new form on the website. https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/d5cbbc_fac61b6ac5164eb294a84e1ccf75e77e.pdf
